Manpreet Kundi is a South Asian singer-songwriter who grew up in Berkshire, UK. A born romantic, she now casts her signature spell of magical, emotive piano and hauntingly mesmeric vocals to move you with the innate rawness and sentiment they carry. Writing music mostly at her piano, she is constantly inspired and empowered by the instrument that ever-propels her dynamic songcraft—since she was young, she idolised artists with the skilfulness of creating beautiful songs at the piano, as it was something she always desired.

Having completed a Physics undergraduate degree, Manpreet was previously on a different path, and feeling intimidated to pursue the dream of being a musician. However, everything in her life always brought her back to music. She has garnered the praise of artists such as Lennon Stella and Nina Nesbitt on Instagram.

Preferring to write solo, Manpreet explores and conveys the more melancholy emotions—and hard-hitting ones in general—through personal, reminiscent, layered and longing accounts of her experiences and wild imagination. "Writing songs has the surreal effect of coalescing every single part of my life and self—it's the thing that makes full sense to me." She finds inspiration in writing about the times where life imitates those heart-rending movie moments which strike you deeply.

Manpreet's heady, slow-tempo and cinematic style is reflective of main musical influence Lana Del Rey; as well as the 80's and 90's Disney movie soundtracks she began singing along to at 3 years old. She grew up a devoted fan of Taylor Swift, who furthered her love of poignant story-telling and sparklingly melodic lyricisms.
